Wilder Ecological was contracted to develop a mitigation plan for desert tortoise, and field an Authorized Biologist to complete biological surveys for sensitive desert species during a Munitions and Explosives of Concern removal operation on a 90 acre historic firing range

Mitigation Measures and Monitoring Plan for desert tortoise were developed and implemented to minimize risk during the planned clearance activities
Environmental Awareness Training was administered to all on-site personnel (~40)
Surveys for sensitive species:
- Desert tortoise
- Desert kit fox
- Burrowing Owl
- Sensitive plants
Authorized Biologist remained on site to monitor activities and survey ahead of planned explosives work within the action area
