The historic Pioneertown Motel is planning an upgrade and expansion, to accommodate the growing number of visitors to the area. The new lodging and services will enhance the local economy and build on the community gathering center that has been a retreat for Hollywood stars and travelers alike.

In support of permitting for these facilities, Wilder Ecological performed baseline biological surveys and focused protocol surveys for desert tortoise and burrowing owl, and submitted reporting to the county of San Bernardino.
